Wisdom’s Seven Pillars

By Douglas Spence at 9:18 pm on Thursday, May 31, 2007

Here Douglas takes a reference in the book of Proverbs to Wisdom’s seven pillars, and suggests fundamental lessons for believers which may be represented by each pillar; each one being closely linked to Wisdom himself - the Lord Jesus Christ.

A refreshingly ‘back to basics’ consideration of some fundamental Christiology.

The Brook…

By John Coltman at 9:55 pm on Sunday, January 21, 2007

BrookThe Brook examines 5 references to brooks in the Word of God.

  1. The brook Eschol (The Spies)
  2. The brook in the valley of Elah (David)
  3. The brook Cherith (Elijah)
  4. The brook from which Nehemiah viewed Jerusalem
  5. The brook Cedron (Christ)

As John follows these references through scripture he draws a lesson from each.

Listen again and read the passages for yourself to examine your life in relation to its direction and fulfilment of purpose as a Christian.

By Tim Lancelot at 7:45 pm on Tuesday, November 14, 2006

I wonder whether, like us, you’ve ever wondered what God looks like, as He sits upon His heavenly throne.

In ‘The Glory of God’ Tim examines the prophet Ezekiel’s account of his vision of the throne of God in all His glory. How would such a vision affect my appreciation of God?!
