I just love this verse from 1 Corinthians 1:18 which says,

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

I sincerely desire that more and more people in this age should come to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

My favorite is Luke 23:34: “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing”.

I am always trying hard to know what I’m doing because of this verse.

Mine changes, and I have many, but for the last year or two this has been at the top of the list:

I am my beloved’s, and his desire is toward me. Song of Solomon 7v10 (KJV)

There are two other similar verses in the same book, but to me this one is the deepest, and speaks of the relationship at the height of it’s maturity, in perfect balance and stability - every time I consider it I am overwhelmed by the love that pours out of these words.
